Hi all!
So, I don’t think I had anything running that wouldn’t comply with GDPR. Still, Matthew Lovelace’s GDPR post made me go “oh, I should actually check that!”
I had Google Analytics, mostly out of curiosity/vanity (how many hits do I get aaaah?!?!?). I still have Jetpack, but it’s the free version so as far as I can tell it only does very basic hit counting and stuff like that. I don’t have ads, so we should be safe there, and I don’t use cookies except maybe for logging in?
Anyway, I have done my best to make sure this place is all compliant, even though I’m pretty sure I don’t do anything that violates it anyway. Google Analytics has been deleted from the site, because why not, and I’ve updated Jetpack to the latest version. So if they’re failing that’s on them. Other than that, the only plugins running are the Hello, Dolly demo plugin and Akismet, for spam protection. Spam Free WordPress is installed, but not active.
So now you know! Feedback appreciated, as always, in the comments below.
